Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. EIT or PE certification preferred but not required.
Experience: Five to Ten (10) years of engineering experience in truck body, off road equipment manufacturing, oil and gas industry, or mining equipment is preferred. Experience in off road equipment is a plus.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for researching and developing product specifications and engineering documentation for Curry Supply Company product lines. This consists of but is not limited to water tanks, service bodies, flatbeds, lube/fuel bodies, truck body accessories, and other related product lines as deemed appropriate. Duties will vary from refining existing products to leading the development of new products based on market research. Tasks will include 3D modeling, creating manufacturing drawings that include bill of materials and other supporting documentation such as cost analysis, wiring and hydraulic schematics, service/maintenance documentation. Designs must meet customer requirements based on appropriate standards such as United States Department of Transportation Standards.
Essential Duties
1. Performs a variety of duties to support the engineering team as follows:
a. Interpret specifications and complete engineering documentation packages.
b. Conduct market data research for new and existing products.
c. Develop new product to meet sales, safety, and regulatory requirements.
d. Assist with development of drawings and bill of materials for manufacturing.
2. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
3. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
4. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.
5. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
Essential Skills
1. Knowledge of standard engineering terms and practices
2. Solidworks or equivalent 3D design software, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
3. Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes
4. Knowledge of hydraulics and wiring, and the capability to create schematics
5. Superior computer skills & the ability to maintain technical documentation
6. Familiarity with product liability practices and associated design documentation
7. The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and deliver on schedule
8. Organize and conduct design reviews and presentations to the company and customers.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
